The National Honey Bee Day

Petition Drive Campaign

Colony Collapse Disorder has now been effecting honey bees for years. No doubt, chemical use by farmers, homeowners, and the society as whole, has contributed to this die-off of massive numbers of colonies.

We ask that beekeepers and the public help support our collective voice and our public approach in asking for help, and seeking the changes necessary to ensure the survival of the bee industry, the quality of our food supply, and the improvement of the environment. Beekeeping needs to be sustainable once again.

"Save the Honey Bee"

Petition Drive Count:

7,583

Our goal was 100,000 signatures. And we did not come close to the intended goal. But that is ok. We touched thousands of individuals with the importance of honeybees, and educated many to the problems the bees are facing. Many participants not only educated the public, but they also expanded the bee industry by getting others interested in beekeeping.

We could of done an internet petition and easily collected 100,000 online signatures. But we would of lost the individual contact and grassroots effort and approach by connecting with other people within our own communities. One of our goals of this petition was education, and the expansion of the bee industry. And to that, we were successful.

We say THANK YOU to all that filled out petitions.
